It’s the end of the year and time for Classroom Awards! How do you recognize your students at the end of the year? Last year, I wanted to recognize my students for their individual efforts and unique personalities. I created my Classroom Awards & Certificates for Primary Students and they are available in Chevron, Stripes, and Polka Dots!
I love having the families join us as I give out these awards. I always describe the award and tell why I have chosen the particular student who is receiving it. The students LOVE trying to guess who is going to receive each award! This year after our awards ceremony, I had the sweetest grandfather thank me for doing individualized awards. He said he knew it meant so much for his grandson to be recognized as the “Marvelous Mathematician” and he could see what a positive classroom environment we have! Here are a few more sweet comments from other teachers via TeachersPayTeachers!
So, I’m sure many of you have heard that Google Reader is going away on July 1st. This comes as no surprise to me… This time last year Google Friend Connect went away for all blogs not hosted with Blogger. This is the very reason why I LOVE WordPress! I love that I always have control of my blog’s content… There are a few new ways that you can follow all of your favorite blogs. I have added Networked Blogs and Bloglovin’ to my sidebar. I would love for you to follow my blog using one of these great services! You can also follow along via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Email! How are you making the transition away from Google Reader? What service will you be using to read your favorite blogs?
As a special thanks for following my blog (and reading this far!), I will send a copy of my Classroom Awards to the first THREE people who follow my blog via Bloglovin’ or Networked Blogs. Leave a comment with the service you chose and be sure to leave your email and choice of awards (chevron, polka dots, or stripes). Thanks for reading!
